The National Weather Service climate summary for Denver on September 4, 2026, recorded an official minimum temperature of 61°F shortly after dawn, aligning precisely with the market’s 95.5% implied probability for the 60-61°F bin. Above-normal warmth prevailed under clear skies and light winds, with the daily high reaching 93°F and dew points remaining low enough to limit overnight cooling below climatological norms of 54°F. Recent model guidance and surface observations showed minimal cold-air advection or radiational cooling potential, reinforcing trader consensus around the observed value. Only an unusually large discrepancy between official reporting stations or a post-event data revision could realistically shift resolution outside this narrow range, an outcome market pricing now treats as negligible given the authoritative measurement.
