Official National Weather Service observations for Houston on September 4, 2026, recorded a daily maximum of 90–91°F at the primary reporting station, aligning precisely with the market-implied outcome and driving the 100% consensus. This value fell near the long-term September average high of roughly 91°F, amid typical late-summer humidity, light winds, and scattered afternoon convection that limited further warming. With the date now past, resolution hinges on finalized climatological data rather than forecasts. Revisions to preliminary readings or use of an alternate station remain the only realistic paths that could shift the outcome, though historical precedent shows such adjustments are infrequent for daily maxima once initial reports are issued.
