Persistent high pressure and southerly flow across North Texas maintain elevated overnight temperatures for Dallas on September 5, with National Weather Service and model guidance converging on a daily minimum in the upper 70s to low 80s amid dew points near 70 °F that limit radiative cooling under mostly clear skies. Recent days recorded minima of 76–78 °F, consistent with the ongoing late-summer heat dome that has pushed values well above the 1991–2020 climatological average low of 74 °F. Light winds and high humidity further suppress the typical nocturnal drop, keeping market-implied probabilities clustered around the 78–81 °F bins while leaving room for minor forecast revisions from updated model runs.
