Forecast models from sources including the National Weather Service and private ensembles indicate a high near 93–95°F for Austin on September 6, driven by a warm, moist airmass with southerly flow and limited cloud cover through midday. Afternoon thunderstorm chances, currently 20–25% in guidance, could cap peak readings in the lower to mid-90s via evaporative cooling and increased cloudiness. This aligns with the climatological average high of 93.4°F and recent runs showing minimal deviation, positioning 94–95°F as the modal outcome while keeping 92–93°F and 96–97°F viable depending on storm timing and intensity. No major model shifts have occurred in the past 24 hours.
