Persistent heat and clear skies under high pressure are sustaining elevated overnight lows in Dallas, with official forecasts from the National Weather Service pointing to a minimum near 78–80°F on September 18 amid southerly winds and dew points in the mid-60s. Limited radiative cooling overnight, combined with warm advection and minimal cloud cover, supports the market’s concentration on 80–83°F bins as the most likely range. Subtle model variations in boundary-layer mixing or localized urban heat effects introduce the main uncertainty, while the broader pattern shows no significant frontal passage or increased moisture to drive sharper cooling before resolution.
