Trader consensus around a 90-91°F high for Miami on September 16 reflects official observations and model guidance showing a peak near that threshold amid typical late-summer conditions. National Weather Service data recorded a maximum of 92°F under partly cloudy skies with scattered thunderstorms, consistent with seasonal averages near 89°F and the influence of easterly flow and moderate humidity that limited stronger heating. Recent model runs from the GFS aligned closely with this outcome, supporting the narrow range over cooler or extreme alternatives. Scenarios that could have shifted odds include unexpected convective cooling or measurement revisions at the primary airport station, though the strong alignment of forecasts and post-event verification left little room for deviation.
