Latest ECMWF and GFS model runs point to a stable high-pressure ridge over northern Italy, delivering mostly clear skies, light southerly winds, and strong daytime insolation that supports a daily maximum near 27–28 °C in Milan on September 14. Ensemble spreads remain narrow, with only modest upside risk from localized heating in the Po Valley, keeping the 28 °C and 29 °C bins as the dominant outcomes in trader pricing. No frontal passages or significant cloud cover are expected before evening, and recent model updates have shown little change over the past 24 hours. This late-summer warmth exceeds the long-term September average maximum by several degrees, reinforcing market-implied odds around the upper 20s while capping the chance of 30 °C or higher.
