**Forecast consensus from the National Weather Service and local outlets places Denver’s September 5, 2026 high near 92–93 °F under partly cloudy skies with only a 17–24 % chance of light afternoon showers.** This aligns with the market’s heaviest positioning on the 92–93 °F bin (52.5 %) and 90–91 °F bin (34.5 %), together implying roughly an 87 % chance the daily maximum falls in the low-90s. The outlook sits well above the 1991–2020 climatological average high of ~83 °F but comfortably below the September 5 record of 101 °F set in 2020. Key drivers include persistent warm, dry air under weak high pressure, light northerly winds that limit mixing, and minimal cloud cover during peak heating hours. Recent model runs have shown little day-to-day drift, supporting trader confidence that the high will land in the narrow 90–93 °F window rather than the lower-probability tails. Upcoming afternoon observations and any late-day convective development remain the primary variables that could shift the final reading by a degree or two.
