The 2027 Baja California Sur gubernatorial contest remains in its early internal phase, with party nominations still pending and multiple aspirants competing for spots on major tickets. Surveys from mid-2026 show Morena and its allies holding a statewide voter-intention edge near 40 percent, yet no single contender has consolidated support within that coalition, where Milena Quiroga Romero, Manuel Cota Cárdenas, and Christian Agúndez Gómez register comparable preferences. On the opposition side, Francisco Pelayo Covarrubias leads PAN positioning while smaller parties such as Movimiento Ciudadano and PRI register lower single-digit backing. This fragmentation, combined with the June 2027 election date and unresolved coalition talks, keeps implied probabilities clustered among more than a dozen names and leaves room for movement once official candidacies and campaign dynamics emerge.
