This market will resolve according to the party of the candidate who wins the 2026 Guam gubernatorial election currently scheduled for November 3, 2026. The nominees of the Democratic and Republican parties may be named in the contract for the convenience of traders. In the event that any named candidate is replaced as the nominee of their respective party prior to election day, the name in the contract will be updated and the market will resolve based on the replacement nominee of the party. If the results of the election are not definitively known by July 31, 2027, this market will resolve to "Other". This market will resolve based on the results of the election according to a consensus of credible reporting. In case of ambiguity, this market will resolve based on the official results as reported by the electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election.**Therese Terlaje and Vicente Ada advanced as the major-party nominees after the August 1, 2026 primaries for Guam’s November 3 general election.** Terlaje defeated incumbent Lt. Gov. Joshua Tenorio by a narrow 47.8%–44.4% margin in the Democratic primary, while Ada secured the Republican nomination with a stronger 60.5%–39.3% victory over Speaker Frank Blas Jr. Guam’s term-limited Democratic governor is not on the ballot, leaving an open race between the two territorial senators and their running mates. Trader pricing reflects Terlaje’s edge at 67.5% versus Ada’s 32.5%, consistent with the Democratic Party’s recent performance in island-wide contests and the absence of major late-breaking shifts since the primaries. A late-August candidate forum highlighted shared priorities on economic development, childcare costs, and public health, but produced no decisive polling movement. The two-candidate general-election structure and roughly two-month timeline to Election Day leave room for standard campaign dynamics, turnout patterns in key villages, and any emerging issue salience to influence final margins.
