This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Benito Juárez International Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 30 Aug '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=mmmx If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market can not resolve until the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Official forecasts from Mexico’s Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) for August 30, 2026, project a maximum of 24–26°C in Mexico City, directly aligning with the market’s leading outcomes.** Afternoon convective activity, including intervals of showers and thunderstorms with 25–50 mm possible in surrounding areas, is expected to limit peak heating under partly to mostly cloudy skies. Mexico City’s high elevation (~2,240 m) produces a moderate subtropical highland climate where August averages hover near 23–24°C; enhanced moisture and cloud cover during the peak of the rainy season further suppress temperatures. Multiple independent models and real-time observations show morning readings climbing steadily to afternoon peaks near 24–25°C before rain develops, creating a narrow range that favors 25°C as the single most likely recorded high. No anomalous heat or clear-sky conditions are present to push readings above 26°C or hold them at 24°C or below. The market’s concentration around 24–26°C therefore reflects the consensus of official guidance and typical late-summer meteorology rather than any unusual deviation.
