Recent polls in Piauí's October 2026 Senate race reveal a fragmented field of roughly 18 candidates for two seats, with Ciro Nogueira (PP) often leading but Marcelo Castro (MDB) and Júlio César (PSD) locked in a tight contest for second place. An August GP1 survey placed Nogueira at 23.5 percent, Castro at 11.3 percent, and Júlio César at 7.6 percent, while earlier Data Max and Real Time Big Data releases showed Castro and Júlio César trading narrow edges or tying within margins of error. Incumbency advantages, party alliances, and local endorsements sustain momentum for the top three, yet the multi-candidate ballot and inconsistent survey results keep second-place probabilities fluid. Trader consensus assigns Nogueira 27 percent, Castro 22 percent, and Júlio César 15.8 percent for second, underscoring how shifts in turnout or late endorsements could separate the contenders before election day.
