Katie Hobbs holds an 87% implied probability of carrying Maricopa County in the November 2026 Arizona gubernatorial election, while Republican nominee Andy Biggs sits at 11%. As the Democratic incumbent, Hobbs benefits from strong recent polling that shows her leading Biggs by double digits statewide, driven by advantages among independents and women in the state's most populous county. Biggs secured the GOP nomination decisively in the July primary but faces headwinds in Maricopa from his conservative record and lower support among suburban voters. Forecasters rate the overall contest as leaning Democratic, reflecting Hobbs' incumbency and the county's recent voting patterns that favor broader coalitions over narrower base mobilization.
