Recent polling from firms including Demoskop, Novus, and SCB shows the Centre Party (C) and Christian Democrats (KD) locked in a narrow contest for support in the low-to-mid single digits ahead of the September 13, 2026, Riksdag election. C has posted modest gains in some surveys following leadership adjustments, while KD benefits from its role in the governing Tidö coalition alongside the Moderates and Sweden Democrats. Both parties face challenges consolidating voter preference in a fragmented landscape where the larger blocs dominate. Traders appear to weigh C’s recent statistical upticks and historical positioning against KD’s incremental momentum within the right-leaning bloc, producing the current implied probability. No major policy announcements or scandals have shifted the race substantially in the past month, leaving the outcome sensitive to final turnout and undecided voters.
