General elections in Bosnia and Herzegovina are scheduled to be held on October 4, 2026, including the election of the President and two Vice-Presidents of the political entity of Republika Srpska. This market will resolve according to the listed candidate elected to serve as President of Republika Srpska as a result of this election. A candidate elected as a Vice-President of Republika Srpska will not count. Interim, temporary, or acting Presidents of Republika Srpska will not count. If no such President has been elected by March 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other". The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina (izbori.ba); however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.**Republika Srpska’s October 2026 presidential contest remains tightly balanced between the ruling SNSD nominee Savo Minić and the SDS-backed opposition candidate Branko Blanuša.** Opposition parties consolidated support in July 2026 behind Blanuša and a joint list, withdrawing rival bids to challenge SNSD continuity after Siniša Karan’s narrow February 2026 victory in the snap election. SNSD maintains organizational advantages and incumbency-linked resources, yet recent narrow margins and lower turnout patterns underscore voter fragmentation. Multiple minor candidates, including those representing Bosniak and Croat communities or smaller parties, register minimal shares, leaving the outcome dependent on Serb-majority turnout and coalition discipline in the final weeks before the October 4 vote. Trader pricing reflects this competitive dynamic, with no decisive polling or institutional shift yet separating the frontrunners.
