Jim Diodati, the long-serving incumbent mayor of Niagara Falls, Ontario since 2010, holds a commanding lead in trader pricing ahead of the October 26, 2026 municipal election, reflecting his established record on housing development, hospital projects, and regional initiatives. Nominations closed August 21 with a field that includes city councillor Lori Lococo, who announced her candidacy on August 20 as the most prominent challenger, along with Kevin Martineau, Paul Manning, and Gary Baker. Diodati’s incumbency and name recognition have kept alternative outcomes priced far lower, though Lococo’s entry as an experienced local official represents the primary recent development that could influence vote splits in this at-large contest.
