Current National Weather Service forecasts for Atlanta show overnight lows holding near 72°F under partly cloudy skies with light variable winds and minimal radiational cooling, consistent with persistent warm, humid late-summer conditions and no approaching cold front. This aligns with observed early-morning readings around 72–73°F and supports the dominant market-implied probability for a 72–73°F daily minimum. Model consensus from GFS and local guidance indicates little deviation expected before the day’s minimum is recorded, though scattered evening convection could introduce minor variability in boundary-layer mixing. Historical September climatology places typical lows several degrees cooler, underscoring the current anomalous warmth as the key factor anchoring trader sentiment.
