Short-term National Weather Service and NOAA model guidance for Miami on September 20 shows elevated uncertainty around a warm, moist air mass with light winds and high dew points that could push afternoon highs into the mid-90s or higher. This setup supports the 23% market-implied odds for 96°F or above, while also keeping lower ranges competitive as modest steering flow or cloud cover could cap readings near 84–89°F. Historical September climatology favors highs near 88–90°F, but recent sea-surface temperature anomalies and lack of strong frontal passages increase upside potential. Updated model runs and morning observations in the next 48 hours will clarify whether intensification or suppression dominates.
