Current National Weather Service forecasts and model consensus for New York City on September 19 point to a daytime high in the low 70s under partly cloudy skies and a moderate northeast flow, with Central Park and airport stations projected near 72°F. This places the strongest implied probability on the 70-71°F bin, as late-September climatology favors highs near 74°F but a cooler air mass and onshore winds suppress warming. Traders appear to weigh the tight agreement across official guidance and limited model spread, while assigning lower odds to 72-73°F or cooler outcomes that would require faster cooling or greater cloud cover than currently indicated. Resolution hinges on the official maximum temperature recorded at Central Park.
