Recent polling during the early October 5, 2026 Quebec election campaign shows the Parti Québécois and Coalition Avenir Québec in a statistical tie near 27-30 percent, with the Quebec Liberal Party (PLQ) at roughly 20-24 percent after recent declines. PLQ support remains heavily concentrated among anglophones and allophones in the Montreal region, limiting seat efficiency outside urban ridings despite historical strength there. CAQ gains have come partly at Liberal expense amid voter concerns over costs, healthcare, and U.S. trade tensions. Aggregators project the PLQ in the low-to-mid 30s, consistent with trader emphasis on outcomes below 32 seats as the campaign timeline and francophone vote trends constrain broader gains.
