Recent National Weather Service and model guidance indicate San Francisco's overnight low into September 21 will hover near 58°F amid persistent onshore flow and a strengthening marine layer, keeping conditions close to the long-term average of about 59°F. Trader consensus remains nearly even between sub-52°F and 70°F+ outcomes because small shifts in cloud cover, wind strength, or marine intrusion depth can easily push the minimum several degrees either way in this coastal microclimate. Westerly breezes and typical September fog timing introduce the main uncertainty, with no strong high-pressure ridge or offshore flow currently forecast to drive unusual warmth. Updated model runs and morning observations ahead of the 21st will likely refine the range as resolution nears.
