**Persistent southerly flow and a strong high-pressure ridge over the southern Plains are sustaining unseasonably warm overnight conditions across central Texas.** Official NWS forecasts and multiple model runs project Austin's September 21 minimum in the mid-70s (roughly 74–77 °F), well above the 1991–2020 climatological average low of ~66 °F. Light southeast winds, dew points near 70 °F, and only a slight chance of clouds or showers limit radiational cooling, keeping the daily minimum from dropping into the lower 70s or below. Trader sentiment remains closely divided among bins near 67–71 °F, 74–79 °F, and higher because small differences in cloud cover, wind speed, or timing of any weak disturbance could shift the exact low by a degree or two within the narrow forecast window. Updated NWS and model guidance through the weekend will refine these thresholds ahead of market resolution.
