Recent National Weather Service observations and model guidance for Miami show overnight lows holding in the upper 70s amid elevated dew points near 75°F, extensive cloud cover from scattered showers, and light southerly winds that limit radiational cooling. These factors compress the diurnal temperature range, pushing the daily minimum above the long-term September average of roughly 76°F. Trader positioning clusters on the 78–81°F bins because ensemble forecasts from NOAA and local soundings indicate only modest additional overnight drops are likely before sunrise, with any clearing skies offering the main pathway to a slightly lower reading. Resolution hinges on official Miami International Airport readings through midnight.
