High pressure and clear skies over northern Italy are driving peak afternoon temperatures in Milan toward 33–35°C on September 5, 2026, with light westerly winds, low humidity (30–50%), and minimal cloud cover allowing strong solar insolation. Official forecasts from sources such as the Met Office and GFS-based models show hourly peaks reaching 34–35°C around 15:00–17:00 local time, above the September climatological average of ~22–26°C. The market-implied 64% probability on 33°C reflects trader assessment of slight model cooling or measurement timing, while the 19.5% on 34°C and low odds on 35°C or higher incorporate uncertainty in exact maximum readings from official stations. No significant frontal systems or moisture advection are expected to alter the warm, stable conditions before resolution.
