Recent forecast models from sources including GFS and regional analyses indicate Tokyo's highest temperature on September 14 will likely reach 29–31°C, driven by southerly winds advecting warmer, humid air under mostly clear to partly cloudy skies with minimal precipitation. This aligns with current observations of 25–27°C on September 13 and typical late-summer patterns where afternoon highs in the Kanto region often peak near or slightly above the September average of 27°C when subtropical flow strengthens. Low rain chances (under 15% in many runs) and moderate winds of 10–18 mph support limited cooling, positioning 30°C as the market leader at 50.5% implied probability. Updated model runs and Japan Meteorological Agency guidance on the morning of the 14th represent the next key data points that could shift trader consensus.
