**National Weather Service forecasts for Chicago on September 13, 2026, anchor trader sentiment around a high near 72°F under mostly sunny morning conditions transitioning to scattered afternoon showers.** Northwest winds of 10–15 mph with gusts to 20 mph, combined with increasing cloud cover, are limiting daytime warming and keeping readings in the low-to-mid 70s across multiple model runs. This aligns with the 56% implied probability on 74–75°F and the 23.5% on 72–73°F, as traders weigh the modest spread between official guidance and slight model variations in timing of any showers. Cooler-than-average conditions relative to the 77°F historical September 13 mean further support these bins, with real-time surface observations and updated NWS briefings expected to drive any late adjustments before the daily maximum is recorded.
