Alaska's August 18 nonpartisan top-four primary features a crowded field of 17 candidates, with polls showing Tom Begich leading but at modest levels around 17-20 percent amid high undecided shares and support scattered across Republicans like Bernadette Wilson, Click Bishop, and Dave Bronson. Recent candidate withdrawals, including Matt Claman's exit in late June, have not consolidated the vote enough to produce a clear frontrunner. Trader consensus reflects this fragmentation, with multiple contenders holding comparable implied probabilities that could shift based on final turnout patterns, endorsements, or late campaign events before the primary advances the top four to the general election.
