Recent polling across multiple institutes shows the AfD maintaining a consistent 20-point lead over the CDU in Saxony-Anhalt ahead of the 6 September Landtag election, with support near 42-43 percent and all other parties well below 15 percent. This positioning stems from sustained voter shifts in eastern states toward the AfD on issues including immigration policy, economic conditions, and dissatisfaction with the incumbent CDU-SPD-FDP coalition under Minister-President Sven Schulze. With roughly ten days remaining, the margin has shown little movement in the latest surveys, supporting the strong trader consensus reflected in current market pricing. A realistic shift in outcome would require either an unusually large polling error, a major late campaign development altering turnout patterns, or unexpected gains by smaller parties clearing the five-percent threshold in ways that fragment the vote.
