This market will resolve according to the party of the candidate who wins the 2026 Ohio Secretary of State election currently scheduled for November 3, 2026. This market will resolve based on the results of the election according to a consensus of credible reporting. In case of ambiguity, this market will resolve based on the official results as reported by the electoral authority responsible for certifying the results of the election.Allison Russo holds a modest lead in trader consensus for the open Ohio secretary of state seat on the November 3, 2026 ballot, reflecting her primary victory and background as a former state House minority leader. Robert Sprague, the current state treasurer who also secured his nomination decisively in May, trails slightly amid Ohio’s broader Republican tilt in statewide contests. Both major-party nominees defeated challengers by wide margins in their respective primaries, leaving a straightforward general-election matchup that also includes a Libertarian candidate. With roughly two months until Election Day and limited new polling or campaign developments in recent weeks, market positioning appears driven primarily by historical voting patterns, candidate experience in state government, and the absence of an incumbent.
