Official National Weather Service observations recorded a maximum of 95°F at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport on September 4, 2026, placing the day slightly above the 1991–2020 climatological normal high near 94°F. This measurement, taken under standard instrumentation protocols with minimal cloud cover and light southerly flow, aligned precisely with the 94–95°F bin that captured full market-implied probability. Late-summer atmospheric patterns featuring persistent high pressure and above-average soil moisture deficits supported temperatures in this narrow range rather than extremes. Official data revisions or station-specific discrepancies remain the only realistic pathways that could alter resolution, though historical precedent shows such adjustments are rare for daily maxima once preliminary reports are issued.
