This market will resolve according to the number of Israeli legislative elections that occur between market creation and the formation of a government in the Knesset or December 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, whichever comes earlier. This market will resolve solely based on the number of elections that occur, where occurrence is defined as nationwide election-day voting open to eligible voters across Israel. Publication of an election’s results will have no bearing on this market. Early or special voting mechanisms that occur before election day (e.g., voting by soldiers or citizens abroad) will not affect resolution. Only the dates of general election-day voting will count. A government will be considered formed if it passes a vote of confidence in the Knesset. The resolution source for this market will be a consensus of credible reporting.**Israeli politics centers on post-election coalition negotiations in a proportional representation system requiring 61 Knesset seats for a majority, with no party historically securing one outright.** As of early September 2026, the 25th Knesset has completed its full four-year term—the first since 1988—leading to scheduled elections on October 27. Most polls project Benjamin Netanyahu’s right-wing and religious bloc near or below 51 seats, while opposition parties led by Gadi Eisenkot’s Yashar and Naftali Bennett’s Together hover around 55–62 seats, leaving neither side with a clear majority. Small parties near the 3.25% threshold, potential mergers, and Arab party involvement add variability to bloc totals. After the vote, the president will consult parties and assign a mandate for coalition talks, a process that has historically taken weeks or months but succeeded without immediate further elections following stable terms. Trader consensus at 70.5% for one election reflects expectations that these dynamics will produce a government after October 27 rather than trigger repeated snap votes.
