Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.Recent forecasts from major models indicate Istanbul's August 2 maximum will likely reach 27–28 °C under sunny conditions with light winds, aligning with the market's tight clustering on those outcomes. Persistent high pressure and above-average sea-surface temperatures in the Sea of Marmara are sustaining warm air advection, while limited cloud development and a weak sea-breeze circulation keep daytime peaks from climbing higher. Ensemble spreads remain modest, reflecting typical summer variability around the 28 °C climatological mean, with any late-day moisture increase or slight wind shift capable of trimming the high by 1 °C. Official observations from the primary reporting station will determine resolution, and final model runs tonight are expected to refine the precise peak.
