Recent National Weather Service and ensemble forecasts indicate a mostly clear to partly cloudy night ahead for September 8 in New York City, with northwest winds of 3–6 mph promoting moderate radiative cooling and dew points in the mid-50s. This setup supports a most-likely minimum near 64–68 °F, consistent with climatological averages, yet the closely bunched market prices across the 60–71 °F bins reflect remaining model spread in cloud cover and boundary-layer mixing two days out. Stronger northerly flow or increased low-level moisture could limit cooling and push the low toward the upper 60s, while clearer, calmer conditions favor the mid-60s; resolution hinges on the final 24-hour forecast updates from the National Hurricane Center’s parent models and local ASOS observations.
