Cilliers Brink leads the Tshwane mayoral market at 61.5% implied probability ahead of the November 4, 2026 local government elections, driven by recent polls showing the DA at 31-43% support in the metro, well ahead of the ANC and ActionSA. Brink, the former mayor removed by a 2024 no-confidence motion backed by an ANC-EFF-ActionSA coalition, has mounted an aggressive campaign emphasizing anti-corruption measures, private-sector involvement in utilities, and crime-fighting technology. Incumbent Nasiphi Moya of ActionSA sits at 21%, reflecting her current role since October 2024 and focus on infrastructure and revenue collection, though her coalition lacks a formal agreement and her party trails in surveys. Lower-priced candidates, including recent MK Party entrant Annie Matime, face structural barriers from fragmented opposition support. Traders appear to price Brink's edge on the DA's polling momentum and historical precedent for stronger opposition performance in Tshwane metros.
