**Aaron Ford holds an 86% implied probability as the Clark County winner in the 2026 Nevada gubernatorial election, with incumbent Joe Lombardo at 12.5%.** Clark County, home to the Las Vegas metro area and the bulk of Nevada’s population, has consistently delivered large Democratic margins in statewide races due to its urban, diverse electorate. Ford secured the Democratic nomination in the June 9 primary with strong support there (66% of the Clark County vote), positioning him as the clear favorite in a county where Democratic candidates typically prevail by double-digit margins. Lombardo, a former Clark County sheriff, maintains a base among some local voters but faces structural headwinds in the general election. Recent polling averages show a competitive statewide contest, with Lombardo holding a modest edge overall, yet traders appear to discount his chances specifically in Clark County based on longstanding partisan patterns and turnout dynamics. No major late-breaking developments have altered this positioning since the primaries, though both campaigns continue emphasizing economic issues like housing costs and job growth that resonate locally. The November 3 election remains the key resolution date.
