Recent National Weather Service and model guidance point to a high near 67°F in Seattle on September 11, driven by persistent overcast skies and a southerly flow of cool marine air that limits daytime heating. Cloud cover reduces incoming solar radiation while moderating the diurnal temperature range, keeping maxima below the late-summer climatological average of roughly 72°F. Light winds and only isolated drizzle further suppress warming compared with clearer recent days that reached the mid-70s. This places the market’s leading 66-67°F and 68-69°F bins in close contention, with resolution hinging on whether afternoon clearing occurs or marine stratus lingers through peak heating hours.
