This market will resolve according to the weekly influenza-associated hospitalization rate per 100,000 population for the United States, as reported by CDC FluSurv-NET for the specified week. The resolution source for this market will be CDC FluView / FluSurv-NET (see: https://www.cdc.gov/fluview/index.html). If the FluSurv-NET hospitalization rate for the specified week is not released by 11:59 PM ET on the tenth calendar day following the date of the prior FluView weekly report release, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. CDC FluView reports the weekly FluSurv-NET hospitalization rate per 100,000 population to one decimal point (e.g., 0.1). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Note: Only the CDC FluSurv-NET weekly hospitalization rate per 100,000 population for the specified week will qualify, regardless of the cumulative influenza-associated hospitalization rate, estimates, projections, state-level reports, or other influenza surveillance metrics published by the CDC or other sources.**Low off-season influenza circulation keeps the FluSurv-NET weekly hospitalization rate near the 0.1 per 100,000 threshold for Week 34 (late August/early September 2026), with recent surveillance showing minimal activity that creates tight uncertainty around exact reported values.** As of late August 2026, CDC FluView and RESP-NET data confirm seasonal influenza activity remains very low nationally, with clinical lab positivity at 0.8% in Week 33, ILI visits at 1.1%, and influenza-specific ED diagnoses at 0.1%. NHSN hospital admission rates have stayed at or below 0.2 per 100,000 in recent summer weeks, consistent with historical patterns outside the typical fall-winter peak. FluSurv-NET reported a 0.1 rate as recently as Week 25 (June 2026), and small absolute case counts amplify week-to-week variability from reporting lags and data revisions. Trader consensus reflects this baseline stability while acknowledging genuine uncertainty: preliminary figures can shift slightly with additional reporting, and any subtle early uptick or model adjustment could tip the final Week 34 rate across the 0.1 boundary. No evidence of accelerated summer transmission or atypical strain behavior has emerged to alter the low-activity outlook.
