Michigan's 4th congressional district features incumbent Republican Bill Huizenga facing Democrat Sean McCann in the November 3, 2026, general election, following their respective primary victories on August 4. The district, encompassing Kalamazoo, Holland, and portions of Ottawa and Allegan counties, has shown a leftward shift in recent cycles, with Democratic Governor Gretchen Whitmer carrying it in 2022 and Republican presidential margins narrowing. McCann secured key support including from Whitmer, while limited early polling indicates a close contest with margins under five points. Trader consensus in the prediction market reflects these competitive fundamentals and the district's evolving partisan balance ahead of the general election.
