Ashley Moody holds a clear lead in trader consensus for winning Miami-Dade County in the November 2026 special U.S. Senate election, reflecting her strong Republican primary performance, substantial fundraising edge, and broad party support as the appointed incumbent. Angie Nixon secured the Democratic nomination with an upset primary victory over Alex Vindman but trails notably in this county-specific market. Recent developments include Moody’s easy primary win with nearly 80% of the Republican vote and Nixon’s 56% Democratic primary share, alongside Moody’s endorsements from law enforcement groups and alignment with statewide Republican trends. Miami-Dade’s shifting demographics, particularly among Hispanic voters, combined with Nixon’s progressive platform and North Florida base, contribute to the positioning where Moody is viewed as competitive despite the county’s historical leanings. The general election timeline through November leaves room for further shifts from campaigning or turnout patterns.
