Incumbent Republican Brian Fitzpatrick holds a modest edge in the PA-01 race due to his moderate profile, bipartisan record through the Problem Solvers Caucus, and strong local roots in Bucks County. The district, rated lean or likely Republican by most forecasters, remains competitive because it backed the Democratic presidential nominee narrowly in 2024 and has seen recent Democratic gains in county races. Democratic nominee Bob Harvie, a Bucks County commissioner who won his May primary, benefits from local name recognition and party targeting of the seat for House control. Recent August polling shows the candidates in a statistical tie, reflecting tight voter blocs and limited national polarization to date. Fundraising advantages for Fitzpatrick and turnout dynamics in suburban precincts could widen or close the gap before November.

A candidate's party will be determined by their ballot-listed or otherwise identifiable affiliation with that party at the time all of the 2026 House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources. A candidate without a ballot-listed affiliation to either the Democrat or Republican parties will be considered a member of one of these parties based on the party with which they most recently expressed their intent to caucus at the time all of the House elections are conclusively called by this market's resolution sources.
This market will resolve based on the result of the election as indicated by a consensus of credible reporting. If there is ambiguity, this market will resolve based solely on the official results as reported by the United States government, specifically the Federal Election Commission (https://www.fec.gov/).
