Forecast models from NOAA-affiliated sources and private meteorology services show Los Angeles overnight lows on September 13 stabilizing in the mid-to-upper 60s under a persistent marine layer, with morning low clouds and fog limiting radiative cooling before partial afternoon clearing. Onshore southwest flow and a stable inversion near 850 mb maintain this moderation, consistent with climatological September baselines around 64°F but elevated by current subsidence patterns. Trader positioning around 68–71°F reflects consensus on these conditions while allowing for minor model spread in inversion strength or wind shifts that could nudge minima higher or permit brief clearing for slightly cooler readings. Historical analogs indicate such setups rarely produce extremes this late in the season absent strong offshore flow.
