**Latest National Weather Service guidance points to a peak near 99 °F under mostly sunny skies and light winds, supporting the market’s slight edge for the 98–99 °F bin.** Atlanta sits in a warm, stable air mass with dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s, allowing efficient daytime heating after morning lows around 75 °F. Recent days have already produced highs of 94–96 °F, confirming the anomalously warm pattern well above the 86 °F September normal. Model consensus is tight, but a 20 % chance of afternoon convection could briefly reduce insolation and cap the high a degree or two lower, explaining the near-even split between the 96–97 °F and 98–99 °F outcomes. Updated NWS discussions and hourly observations through peak heating hours will be the key near-term drivers.
