This market will resolve to the temperature range that contains the highest temperature recorded by NOAA at the Malpensa Intl Airport Station in degrees Celsius on 8 Sep '26. The resolution source for this market will be information from NOAA, specifically the highest reading under the "Temp" column for all times on this day, available here: https://www.weather.gov/wrh/timeseries?site=limc If NOAA data for the observation date is unavailable by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, the Weather Underground Daily Observations table will be used as the resolution source. In the event that there is no data for the observation date by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, this market will resolve to the lowest bracket. To toggle between Fahrenheit and Celsius, click the "Switch to Metric Units" button until the relevant table displays °C. This market will resolve once the first data point for the following date has been published on the resolution source, or by 11:59 PM ET on the day following the observation date, whichever comes first. The resolution source for this market measures temperatures to whole degrees Celsius (eg, 9°C). Thus, this is the level of precision that will be used when resolving the market. Revisions to temperatures recorded within this market's timeframe will be considered until the first datapoint for the following date has been published, after which any alterations will not be considered.**Recent forecasts from multiple meteorological sources indicate a daytime high in Milan on September 8, 2026, most likely in the 32–33°C range under persistent high pressure, clear to partly cloudy skies, and light southerly winds that favor daytime heating.** Current model consensus (including runs referenced on sites like Worldmeteo, Yr.no, and Globalmeteo) shows peak temperatures reaching 32–34°C in the afternoon before any evening cooling or light shower activity, consistent with the market’s heaviest weighting on 32°C (42.5%) and 31°C (30.5%), followed by 33°C (15%). This aligns with an ongoing warm spell in early September, when observed highs have already hit 33–34°C on the 6th and 7th amid above-average conditions for the month (climatological September mean high near 25°C). A frontal system and cooler air are expected to arrive on the 9th, bringing showers and a sharp drop to the mid-20s°C, which limits upside risk for extremes above 34°C on the 8th. Traders are therefore pricing the narrow window around the forecast peak, with lower probabilities assigned to cooler outcomes (30°C or below at ~15% combined) or hotter outliers (35°C+ under 3%). Updated model runs and official Italian meteorological agency guidance over the next 24–48 hours remain the key near-term catalysts that could shift these implied probabilities.
