Current forecast models from the National Weather Service and others indicate a high of 91–93°F in Houston on September 6, driven by partly sunny conditions giving way to likely afternoon thunderstorms. High humidity, light variable winds, and sea-breeze convergence will promote convective development after midday, with heat indices exceeding 100°F. Cloud cover and precipitation timing introduce the main uncertainty, as earlier or heavier storms could cap the peak below 90°F while delayed activity might allow brief spikes into the low 90s. This aligns with early-September climatology near the 91°F average high, explaining the tight clustering of market-implied odds around 88–93°F amid real capital reflecting these variables.
