**Kerry-Lynne Findlay leads the Abbotsford-Mission by-election market at 62% because the Fraser Valley riding delivered 55% support for the BC Conservatives in the 2024 general election.** The seat opened when incumbent Reann Gasper resigned on August 22 to enable Findlay, the party leader without a legislative seat since her May 2026 selection, to seek nomination and election. Advance voting runs September 18–23 ahead of the September 26 poll, with nominations closing September 5. Pam Alexis, the NDP’s former agriculture minister and 2020–2024 MLA who lost the riding by roughly 2,600 votes last cycle, sits at 42.5% in the rematch. Recent Conservative caucus departures and the compressed timeline add uncertainty for Findlay, while smaller-party entries such as CentreBC’s Lakhwinder Jhaj at 25.5% remain long shots in a contest defined by the two main-party contenders. Trader pricing reflects the riding’s recent partisan tilt alongside these leadership and timing variables.
