Ukrainian civil airspace has remained closed to commercial operations since February 2022 amid the ongoing conflict, with Boryspil Airport maintained in operational readiness but barred from landings or takeoffs by regulatory NOTAMs and international safety advisories. Recent Russian strikes in the Boryspil area, including attacks on infrastructure and residential sites in early September 2026, underscore persistent security risks that continue to shape assessments of near-term resumption. Diplomatic signals, such as coordinated restraint during high-level U.S. envoy visits to Moscow, and ongoing Ukrainian preparations—including working groups and airline discussions—provide context, yet any restart hinges on verifiable de-escalation and risk thresholds rather than fixed timelines. Trader consensus on short-horizon markets reflects these barriers while noting potential shifts from battlefield or negotiation developments within the resolution window.

This market will resolve to "Yes" if at least one manned aircraft successfully lands at or takes off from Boryspil International Airport between market creation and the specified date, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No".
Eligible flights include any manned fixed-wing aircraft or rotorcraft (helicopter), regardless of registration, owner, or purpose (e.g., commercial passenger, cargo, military transport, diplomatic or state flight, technical ferry, or emergency landing).
Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs, drones, or loitering munitions), touch-and-go passes without a full touchdown and stop or taxi, and landings or departures occurring outside the physical boundaries of Boryspil International Airport will not count toward the resolution of this market.
The primary resolution source will be verified radar and ADS-B flight tracking data (e.g., Flightradar24, ADS-B Exchange) and official announcements from Boryspil International Airport, the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine, or the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
