Recent August 2026 polls from institutes such as INOR and Real Time Big Data show Delegado André David (Republicanos) holding a narrow lead in stimulated voting for Sergipe’s two Senate seats, though support remains fragmented across a crowded field of pre-candidates including André Moura, Renatinha, Rogério Carvalho, Iran Barbosa, Eduardo Amorim, and incumbent Alessandro Vieira. The absence of a dominant frontrunner or major party consolidation, combined with typical low early-name recognition and undecided voters exceeding 60 percent in some surveys, sustains tight implied probabilities for first place. Scheduled October 4 balloting, ongoing candidate registrations with the TSE, and potential late alliances or campaign spending shifts could widen or close gaps ahead of the first-round count.
