Hsu Shu-hua, the incumbent Kuomintang magistrate of Nantou County, holds an 88.5% implied probability in the market, reflecting her strong position ahead of Taiwan’s November 28, 2026 local elections. As the sitting officeholder since 2022 with prior legislative experience in the county, she benefits from name recognition, established local networks, and the structural advantages of incumbency in Taiwanese county races. Wen Shih-cheng trails at 11.5%, consistent with limited reported momentum for major challengers. Candidate registration opens in August 2026, and trader consensus appears anchored in her re-election track record rather than late-breaking shifts, though the multi-candidate field and any party nomination contests could still influence final positioning.
