**Forecast models and official guidance point to a maximum temperature near 25–26°C in Mexico City on September 5, 2026, aligning with the market’s leading outcomes.** September falls in the peak of the rainy season, when persistent cloud cover, high humidity, and scattered afternoon showers typically cap daytime heating despite the high solar angle. Recent model runs from sources such as the Met Office and local Servicio Meteorológico Nacional guidance show afternoon peaks of 24–26°C under partly to mostly cloudy skies, with isolated thunderstorms possible but not expected to suppress temperatures further. Historical climatology for early September places the average high around 24–25°C, providing a baseline traders reference against current model consensus. With the market resolution tied to the official daily maximum, any late-day clearing or stronger insolation could push readings to 27°C or above, which accounts for the 24% implied probability on that outcome. Updated official observations later today will determine the final recorded high.
