Katie Hobbs holds an 87% implied probability of carrying Maricopa County in the November 2026 Arizona gubernatorial election, while Republican nominee Andy Biggs sits at 11%. As the Democratic incumbent seeking a second term, Hobbs secured her nomination unopposed in the July 21 primary. Biggs, a U.S. representative, won the Republican primary with roughly 74% of the vote. Recent polling averages show Hobbs leading Biggs by 5–7 points statewide, with Maricopa—the state’s most populous county and home to Phoenix—typically aligning closely with or amplifying the overall margin. The race features joint tickets for the new lieutenant governor position following Proposition 131. Trader consensus reflects Hobbs’s consistent edge in battleground metrics and fundraising advantage heading into the final weeks.
